Keukenhof in Lisse, not far from Amsterdam, is one of the most important and best-known sights in the Netherlands. It is located in a 32-hectare park and is the largest flower garden in the world with 7 million freshly planted tulip bulbs every year. Five hundred growers showcase their most beautiful flowers and leading florists and gardeners present unique arrangements in various pavilions. In 7 different inspired gardens, the experiences are designed according to the latest trends. A spectacular view of the magnificent sea of colours of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, roses, carnations, irises and lilies is offered by the 15-kilometre-long walking path in the Keukenhof park. In addition to the magnificent flower gardens, Keukenhof also has the largest sculpture park in the Netherlands with over 150 sculptures by Dutch and international artists.

On the way to Amsterdam, we recommend a visit to a cheese dairy near Amsterdam. Here you can watch the clog maker at work while also seeing how the different types of cheese are made. Of course, a tasting is also included. Afterwards, travel to your hotel in Amsterdam.

On this day, visit Keukenhof, a floral paradise in a 32-hectare park that is unique to the world. The flower shows at Keukenhof offer a unique experience every day. Five hundred growers showcase their most beautiful flowers and leading florists and gardeners present unique arrangements in various pavilions. There is plenty of time to view the most beautiful areas of the grounds and enjoy this fascinating flower exhibition. On the subsequent boat trip, you can enjoy the magnificent panorama of tulip fields, windmills and picturesque villages. A piece of Holland straight out of a picture book!

In the morning, explore Amsterdam from the water with a canal cruise. On this tour, experience  the busy shipping traffic on Het IJ, the magnificent old sailing ships at the Maritime Museum and the quaint houseboats on the canals in the city centre.
