Every year from the end of November to mid-January, the Amsterdam Light Festival offers a unique spectacle in the city’s alleyways and canals. The best light artists in the world make the lights dance on the water of the canals. In close cooperation with architects and the city of Amsterdam, they present spectacular sights and impressions for the public to enjoy. Experience this unique event from one of its best perspectives – a canal cruise on the water.
Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome of Dutch tapas in the hotel bar together with a complimentary beer and jenever. The tapas are Dutch delicacies that are typically enjoyed in the Netherlands with an after-work beer. Welcome to Amsterdam and ›eet smakelijk‹.
Today is all about Amsterdam. First, enjoy a guided tour taking in the Central Station (IJmeer side), Java-eiland, the Muiderpoort city gate, the Waterlooplein flea market, the Stopera, housing the city hall and the Dutch National Opera and Ballet, the Amstel, the Heineken brewery, the museum district and the beautiful south of Amsterdam. Each year, during the Amsterdam Light Festival, the canals in the heart of the city are beautifully illuminated. Enjoy the special flair of this famous light spectacle on a canal cruise.
