Current state

Christian Münch has been the new Managing Director of überland Tecklenburg GmbH since January 2023. After more than 30 years in tourism, Wolfgang Hibbeler, our company founder and Managing Director, is retiring. We are grateful for the many years in which he has guided the fortunes of the company with great passion, vision and humor and wish him a fulfilled retirement!

Since then, Christian Münch has continued to run the business with great enthusiasm, commitment and tourism expertise. Together with our motivated team in Ibbenbüren, we are looking forward to the future!

History

In Berlin in 1990 – immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall – the sense of optimism that could be felt everywhere was the motivation and incentive for founding the überland Reisegesellschaft. It was an exciting time: the eastern part of the city and the surrounding area of Berlin could be included in the tourist program. The world had changed!

In 1994, Wolfgang Hibbeler founded the branch in Tecklenburg in Münsterland. The idea of offering package tours to the neighboring Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg quickly developed. Frequent trips to these countries led to excellent local knowledge and personal friendships with many service partners. As a result, the office in Tecklenburg quickly became one of the leading specialist parcel services for Benelux.

In 2018, überland Tecklenburg GmbH was created through a spin-off from überland Reisegesellschaft mbH. This was followed by the move to new offices in Ibbenbüren and a consistent expansion of the company's activities as a specialist packager in Benelux and parts of Germany.

Today, überland Tecklenburg is a company that is ideally positioned for the future. We focus on the highest quality and reliable service and are proud to be able to offer you, as a specialist, high-quality travel programs to Germany and the Benelux all year round!
