Today we head to Alkmaar in North Holland, the birthplace of Rudi Carell. The historic city is also well known for its picturesque canals and, of course, the famous cheese market. A little cozier than Amsterdam, the city attracts visitors with its many small stores in the pedestrian zone. For the afternoon, we recommend a trip to the North Sea, just a few kilometers from Alkmaar where you can spend a few relaxing hours on the beach in Egmond or Bergen aan Zee, for example.
