We have various hotels in Ghent available for you in different city locations – we have been working well with all of them for years. The more centrally you stay, the more your travel participants can enjoy life in this hospitable and very cozy city. Older tourists will also feel comfortable and safe here.
After arriving in Ghent and checking into your room, you will go on an exploration tour with your guide. A tour of Ghent is like a journey back to the Middle Ages. The St. Bavo Cathedral and the Gravensteen Castle in the center of the city are very impressive. You can take a wonderful stroll along the Leie and there are plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy.
Today, two of Flanders’ royal cities are on the program. The Rubens and diamond city of Antwerp and the tranquil Mechelen – formerly the capital of the Burgundian Netherlands. The unfinished bell tower of St. Rombout’s Cathedral is impressive.
In addition to the varied landscape, the province of West Flanders impresses with its beautiful seaside resorts, such as De Haan with its Belle Epoque architecture or Ostend, the region’s most important coastal town. The town has a long sandy beach, a magnificent seaside promenade and numerous fish restaurants. The Atlantikwall Museum and the Mu.ZEE art museum are also popular attractions. Ypres is steeped in history. The impressive Menin Gate and the ’In Flanders Fields Museum’ commemorate the victims of the First World War.
Brussels, the country’s capital, is a worthy conclusion to this trip. During a guided tour, you will see the European Quarter, the world-famous Atomium and, of course, numerous buildings in the unmistakable Brussels Art Nouveau style. Afterwards, return journey on the route of your choice.
