  • 3 nights bed and breakfast in a top hotel in the Almere/Lelystad/Hilversum area
  • City walk in the Hanseatic city of Kampen
  • Entrance to Keukenhof
  • Visit to a cheese dairy and clog maker
  • Full-day guided tour to Schokland and Giethoorn

On arrival, first visit the picturesque Hanseatic town of Kampen located in the IJssel delta. Enjoy the wonderful panorama of the town and its magnificent sailing ships. We recommend arriving via the N760 from the north as the best panorama is from here, at the Stadsbrug.

Today first visit Keukenhof, one of the most important and best-known sights in the Netherlands. This world-famous garden is located in a 32-hectare park and is the largest flower garden in the world, where 7 million tulip bulbs are planted new every year. On the 15-kilometre-long walking trail through the park, enjoy spectacular views of the magnificent sea of colourful flowers. In the afternoon, visit a cheese dairy and, of course, have a bite to eat.

After breakfast, set off on a guided day trip. First visit the former island of Schokland, which was connected to the mainland in 1932 by the dyking of the IJsselmeer and the creation of polders. The polder landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On request, we’d be delighted to arrange a visit to the Schokland museum at an additional cost. Continue to Giethoorn, which borders the Weerribben-Wieden National Park and is Europe’s largest contiguous area of fenland. The canal cruise through this beautiful town with its picturesque houses is a delight. If time allows, pay a short visit to the Hanseatic city of Hasselt on the return trip to the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, the return journey begins. We’d be delighted to help you arrange any additional activities on departure day.
