Travel to Leiden in the Dutch province of South Holland. This charming city is known for its centuries-old architecture and Leiden University, which was founded in 1575, making it the oldest university in the country. The university grounds also include the Hortus Botanicus, Leiden’s botanical garden dating back to 1590, where the tulip was introduced to Western Europe. The day ends in comfort at the centrally located hotel.
In the morning, explore the world-famous Keukenhof with its huge fields of flowers. The afternoon is dedicated to The Hague, the Dutch seat of government.
