After arrival and check-in, we recommend a leisurely walk through the spa gardens of Bad Gögging or a visit to the hotel’s own thermal baths with their large wellness area. Dinner is served in the hotel, followed by a nightcap at the hotel bar.
On today’s full-day excursion through the Altmühltal, visit Beilngries, Riedenburg and Kelheim. The tour guide takes you to the Danube Gorge at Weltenburg Abbey. The break here offers an opportunity for taking in the magnificent natural scenery or fortifying yourself in the monastery tavern with a scrumptious monastery beer. The Monarch Hotel awaits you later for a delicious dinner.
On today’s excursion, learn many interesting facts about the largest contiguous hops-growing region in the world. The Hallertau stretches between Bad Gögging, Siegenburg, Mainburg and Wolnzach. In Wolnzach, join a guided tour of the famous German Hops Museum. Afterwards, visit the famous Kuchlbauer wheat beer brewery in Abensberg, where excellent wheat beers have been brewed for nine generations. Of course, no visit would be complete without an inviting complimentary wheat beer. After the excursion, return to the hotel for dinner.
