Explore three jewels of Westphalian architecture! A tour guide takes you on a full-day excursion to the most beautiful castles in the Münster region. The tour begins with the imposing moated castle of Vischering, a medieval defensive structure from the 13th century. It then continues to the beautiful Nordkirchen Castle, also known as the ›Westphalian Versailles‹ – a baroque castle complex with impressive gardens. Finally, visit the idyllically situated Hülshoff Castle, once home to the poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff. A day filled with history, architecture and atmosphere!
After breakfast, transfer from Münster to Tecklenburg, Germany’s northernmost mountain town. On a guided tour, discover the charming half-timbered town centre, the historic castle ruins and the largest open-air stage in Germany (closed during rehearsals). Then its time to start on the journey homeward.
