Namur is the charming capital of Wallonia. Towering high above the confluence of the Meuse and Sambre rivers, the impressive Citadel of Namur invites you to explore one of Europe’s largest fortress complexes, offering breathtaking panoramic views. Afterwards, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the romantic old town, with its winding alleys, stylish boutiques and intimate cafés. Continue onwards to your selected hotel in the evening.
After breakfast, discover the lovely town of Dinant, picturesquely located on the Meuse. Take the cable car to the citadel and its impressive panoramic view. Walk through the Collegiale Notre-Dame and the original saxophone monument – Dinant is the home of Adolphe Sax! After this, pay a visit to the traditional abbey of Maredsous, famous for its beer, cheese and idyllic environment. Alternatively, take a boat trip to Freyr Castle – a jewel on the Meuse, surrounded by the rolling hills of the Ardennes.

The crowning finale of the trip is discovering the lively city of Liège. Stroll through the historic medieval old town with its impressive buildings that include the collegiate church of St. Bartholomew, and explore the charming Carré district with its intricate alleyways. A highlight is a walk up the Montagne de Bueren, where 374 steps lead to a breathtaking panoramic view over the city. For an impressive architectural finale, take a short excursion to the futuristic Liège-Guillemins train station designed by renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. The journey home continues from here – with many impressions in your luggage.
