After your arrival, an experienced tour guide awaits you for a tour of the sights in the city center. You will see the Place d'Armes, Constitution Square, the government district, the old town and the Grand Ducal Palace (exterior view only).
With the construction of a castle on the Bockfelsen in 963, Count Siegfried laid the foundation stone for what would later become the city of Luxembourg. In the middle of the 18th century, the Austrians began building the casemates of the Bockfelsen. On a guided tour of this complex, you will understand why this almost impregnable fortress system was also called the ›Gibraltar of the North‹. In the archaeological crypt, you will also see the construction of the castle of the first Counts of Luxembourg.
Today you follow in the footsteps of Robert Schuman. Pass his birthplace and head up to the European Quarter on the Kirchberg plateau. You then start your journey home.
